How to connect and set up modules

To start working with modules, open the Modules section in the Studio.

Installed Modules

All installed modules are located on the Installed tab. Some of them, for example Auth and Universal Map, are installed by default, right after the project is created.

Installed modules

Module Preview

The preview displays basic information about the module: the current version (1), the icons of the components that it adds to the application (2) and a link to its documentation page (3). If you need to configure the module (or it is configured incorrectly), a warning icon (4) will be displayed in the corner. To open the information and settings window, click once on the preview.

Settings Window

In addition to basic information, the settings window contains a description of the module (1) and its settings fields (2). The settings are different for each module. If it interacts with other services and programs, most likely, they will also need to be configured.
When you have finished configuring the module, click the Save button to save your changes (3).

You can also configure the module before installation: click on it, in the window that opens, fill in the required fields (1) and click Install (2).

It makes no difference when to configure the module - before installation (in the Marketplace tab) or after it (in the Installed tab). Use the method that works best for you.

Deleting Modules

To uninstall a module, click the Uninstall button on the preview or in the settings window (1) and confirm the action in the pop-up (2).

Potential Data Loss

Deleting a module will also delete all the data models, business processes, endpoints, and interface components associated with it.

Before deleting a module, please carefully check which components the module has added and create a backup copy of the data you need.

Tips and Useful Info

We recommend that you start creating your application by connecting the necessary modules. Ready-made data models, business logic, predefined settings, interface elements, custom code, and automation scripts - all of this will significantly speed up the development.

Of course, it is not easy to plan all the functionality and select the necessary components at the beginning of the project. But if you find the time for this now, then you will potentially save hundreds of hours in the future.

The list of modules is regularly updated, we release new ones and update the ones that already exist, add new functions and change individual settings. Some modules are integrated into the basic tools of Studio. For example, the Auth authentication module can not be disabled or removed, the operation of many other components depends on it. will inform you about the release of new modules versions and their compatibility with those that you already have installed.
