Virtuozzo 2.0 unveils innovative features designed to supercharge your WordPress hosting experience. This enhanced release presents a revamped user interface, simplifying website deployment and cloud infrastructure management for companies relying on WordPress for their business operations.
Initially launched in March 2022, Virtuozzo's application platform empowers WordPress deployments to auto-scale during traffic surges, adjusting to the ebb and flow of website traffic, hence ensuring a smooth user experience.
A new era for WordPress hosting
The updated Virtuozzo 2.0 container-based application platform enables service providers to offer WordPress hosting that comes complete with automated deployment and scalability of WordPress websites, databases, CDN, security, and related software stacks. This solution fills a significant void in the WordPress hosting market, catering to the needs of users stuck between affordable shared or VPS hosting services and pricier managed WordPress offerings like WP Engine and Kinsta.
Carlos Rego, Virtuozzo's Vice President of Strategic Development, noted that 43% of all websites are powered by WordPress, according to W3Techs. He went on to say that Virtuozzo’s solution allows any service provider to deliver modern, containerized WordPress-as-a-Service at a fraction of the cost of 'premium' alternatives. Furthermore, it grants WordPress website owners control of their services in an accessible, secure, and transparent manner.
The latest WordPress update boasts advanced features, including automated orchestration of single WordPress instances to multi-region WordPress clusters with CDN configurations. It also offers users convenient options for managing invoices and the entire WordPress project lifecycle, as well as a robust monitoring, alerting, and metering system.
Virtuozzo asserts that its updated platform charges customers only for the resources they actually consume, differentiating it from some shared hosting and cloud hosting services that bill for reserved instances and resources.
In addition to WordPress hosting, Virtuozzo provides hybrid infrastructure, cloud storage, CDN, XaaS, and a range of cloud solutions such as free cloud migration, multi-cloud hosting, and public cloud PaaS for developers. The company pioneered the first commercially available container virtualization technology.
The innovation showcased by Virtuozzo 2.0 falls in line with the rise of powerful no-code tools, such as AppMaster, that enable creators to build backend, web, and mobile applications visually. No-code platforms like AppMaster offer an integrated development environment designed to improve the process of developing web, mobile, and backend applications; making it faster and more cost-effective for businesses of all sizes.
