Mendix Unveils 3 New Offerings on AWS Marketplace, Takes Low-Code to New Heights

Mendix, a pioneering low-code solution provider, is making it simpler for organizations to build and deploy innovative applications by launching three new products on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. By capitalizing on the increasing popularity of low-code and no-code technology, Mendix is pushing the boundaries of what businesses and developers can accomplish together.

While app development becomes an essential part of modern business, non-technical leaders often lack the expertise to create their own applications. On the other hand, IT professionals might not possess in-depth knowledge of an organization's key goals and challenges. This is where low-code and no-code platforms, like Mendix, come into play, bridging the divide between IT and business teams.

Backed by Siemens, the Boston-based company is known for facilitating collaboration between IT and business teams. Mendix recently announced three new product offerings on AWS Marketplace, further encouraging low-code adoption: the Mendix low-code platform, Intelligent Automation for Banking, and Intelligent Automation for Insurance. These enterprise low-code application templates enable developers and domain experts to create robust, tailor-made applications with consistency.

Low-code technology is undoubtedly gaining momentum. A2Z Market Research projects a compound annual growth rate of more than 30% for the global low-code development platforms software market by 2028. Gartner also estimates that IT tech spending will reach $4.5 trillion by the end of 2022, with enterprise software being the fastest-growing category at an 11.5% rate.

Alongside Mendix, leading companies in the expanding low-code sector include the likes of OutSystems, Caspio, Appian, Retool, GeneXus, Pega, Vinyl, and AppMaster. Mendix has distinguished itself through business-IT alliances, long-standing partnerships, and the resources provided by parent company Siemens. The company has been collaborating with AWS since 2015.

The new Mendix offerings are designed to address specific pain points in industries such as banking and insurance. For instance, the banking templates cover loan and mortgage originations, portfolio management, and customer onboarding. Meanwhile, the insurance templates handle underwriting, claims management, and quote and buy processes. As a result, AWS and Mendix customers can accelerate innovation, boost intelligent automation initiatives, streamline operations, enhance customer experiences, and increase value.

More business leaders are becoming intrigued by the potential advantages of low-code and no-code platforms. However, many are uncertain about how to get started. Mendix's latest offerings on AWS Marketplace can aid businesses in taking the first steps towards low-code adoption. By focusing on the collaboration between IT and business teams, Mendix can help diverse organizations build more efficient and innovative applications faster.

As the low-code industry continues to flourish, platforms like Mendix are changing the game, making software development more accessible to a wider range of users. Greater dialog between IT professionals and business leaders promotes a culture of experimentation, ultimately resulting in faster, targeted solutions to pressing business challenges. In the end, accelerating innovation lies at the heart of Mendix's goals and the low-code revolution.
