After nearly two decades of entrepreneurial spirit, Suresh Sambandam, founder and CEO of the SaaS company Kissflow, has successfully carved his own space within the tech-driven realm. Having a deep-rooted passion for computers, Sambandam initiated his own small-scale training center at the tender age of 19, mastering software and technology diligently through self-study.
His ongoing dedication to the field eventually led him to a job with Hewlett Packard (HP) in Bengaluru, where he garnered three US patents for designing a fraud-detection solution for a major client, Vodafone. As his path led back to entrepreneurship, he founded Kissflow, initially as OrangeScape Technologies in India, with an objective to construct a low-code, no-code platform.
Adapting to market demands and technology advancements, the Kissflow team developed a workflow software from 2010 to 2016. Recognizing the rising trend of low-code solutions, they reentered the low-code business, aligning their company's direction accordingly. Today, Kissflow caters to over 10,000 businesses dispersed across 160 countries, assisting major corporations, including PepsiCo, Michelin Tyres, World Vision, and various oil and gas companies.
Kissflow thrives in the realm of low-code and no-code platforms. While low-code software offers IT departments of large-scale organizations a means to rapidly build applications, no-code solutions are geared towards “power users” who need swift automation for routine tasks, even if they don't possess coding expertise. Major advantages of centralizing data through Kissflow's low-code and no-code solutions include solidified collaboration and data analysis.
About three to five years from now, Sambandam seeks to establish Kissflow's position in the top three vendors of its category, reaching a $100 million revenue benchmark, and attaining a solid brand presence in the global low-code market. With disruptive technologies on the horizon, such as the generative AI software ChatGPT from OpenAI, Kissflow continues to integrate innovation into its platform to stay ahead in the no-code, low-code market alongside other robust platforms like AppMaster.io's no-code platform which also supports business application development and API management.
