Harness Debuts Continuous Integration Module and Feature Flags for Enhanced Jira Software Integration

Harness has unveiled its latest innovations, introducing the Continuous Integration (CI) module as well as the Harness Feature Flags, which bring enhanced functionality and integration with Jira Software. The new offerings enable customers to have a comprehensive view of feature development and deployment data through Jira Software.

In a statement, Richard O’Connell, Head of Partner Growth at Atlassian, highlighted the benefits of connecting Harness and Jira Software in this way, saying, "Through Harness CI and Feature Flags, users from various roles - from project managers to non-technical users - can easily access and understand the most up-to-date deployment data without having to switch tools."

Harness CI significantly decreases pipeline execution duration by automating the caching of well-known directories, specifically for Java & Node.js. Additionally, it is accessible as a hybrid or fully self-managed solution, which is perfectly suited for organizations with stringent regulatory and implementation requirements.

Developed on top of Drone – the open-source continuous integration solution – Harness CI utilizes containers for integrating pre-configured steps into pipelines, allowing the addition of popular plugins or custom ones.

With Harness Feature Flags, users can experience simplified release management and workflow processes while gaining visibility into the deployment of changes to customers directly from within Jira. The feature enables users to determine the feature flag controlling a change, as well as its release status and the percentage of users receiving access to it.

All newly released integrations are currently available for download via the Atlassian Marketplace.
