8base, a forerunner in the low-code development platform space, has successfully completed a $10.6 million Series A funding round. The capital injection will go towards further expanding the platform's product capabilities and augmenting the go-to-market team, leveraging the company's remarkable customer and technical growth over the last 12 months. Foundry Group led the oversubscribed funding round, with participation from Techstars, Firebrand Ventures, MongoDB PaaS Accelerator, 11 Tribes Ventures, Argonautic Ventures, LAGO Innovation Fund, and Strawberry Creek Ventures, an Alumni Ventures fund.
Founded in 2017, 8base offers an extensive range of tools that expedite application development, including data models, custom logic, APIs, connections to external systems, cloud-based hosting, frontend applications, security, and authentication. By using 8base, new software solutions can be built in just weeks, bypassing the typical months or years of development time while addressing scaling limitations.
