Mobile application creation and configuration
Mobile Apps module is needed to be installed to be able to create mobile applications. Go to Mobile Apps tab and click Create Application.
Mobile application needs to be configured once the module is installed. In the modal window there are a few steps that need to be performed to finish configuring the application. As a first step, mobile application platform and application names are need to be set. Optionally, description and cover can also be configured.
As a second step, layout has to be chosen. There are three available options for that:
- Blank - without any preinstalled navigation.
- Bottom Nav - navigation is presented with the bottom navigation panel.
- Slide Out Menu - navigation is presented with the slide out menu.
Then, as a last step, you need to set up the color palette of the application.
All these settings can be changed after initial setup.
Triggers & Actions
List of triggers is presented in the Triggers & Actions tab. To edit the business processes associated with them, you need to click on one of the triggers in the list.
Mobile interface designer
Mobile interface designer contains of several parts which are described in details as follows:
A menu that allows you to switch tabs between the application designer, BP designer and mobile application settings, respectively.
With iOS/Android tabs it is possible to switch between the canvas for different devices.
Screens tab contains a list of pages available in the application. Components tab contains a set of elements used to construct the design of an application.
Click New screen button to create new screen. Then, you need to choose screen layout from the suggested options. You can choose model to use in any case but blank view.
You can find newly created page in the screen list. In the most common case there are 4 main page components:
- Navigation bar
- Header
- Body
- Footer
Each component can be configured separately.
Canvas for creating application design using components. In order to edit the content of the page, you need to go to Components tab and select the appropriate components to use in the application layout. By dragging them into the layout field, you can use them.
In the panel on the right, you can configure the properties of components and pages and their associated business processes.
It is possible to rename or delete component with a certain button.
Press Save application button to apply the latest changes.
Press Publish button to compile and publish application.
You can see the result in the AppMaster Developer application for iOS and Android.
