Adding new groups of users
Auth module is needed to Add Group.
- Go to Modules → click on Auth module to open its settings;
- Switch to the Groups tab to see the list of existing groups;
- Press Add new element to make a new user group. In the modal window, there are settings to customize the user group: add description and icon, set the icon, label, and tag color.
Editing existing groups of users
Existing groups can be edited in the Auth module settings.
- Go to Modules → click on Auth module to open its settings;
- Switch to the Groups tab to see the list of existing groups;
- Press the Edit button on the group you want to config
Editing groups permissions via middleware
The Auth module Middleware restricts certain groups of users from interacting with the database.
- Go to the Endpoints section and select the endpoint you want to configure.
- In the Edit endpoint menu, switch to the Middleware tab.
- Find Token Auth Middleware and press Edit settings to configure Allowed groups.
Editing groups permissions via frontend
To restrict access to the web pages of the application for certain groups of users:
- Go to the web application and press the Settings button for the page you want to restrict access.
- Select all the groups that are allowed to see the page's content in the Show for groups. By default, access is permitted to all categories of users.
